Imagine this fireplace, the bricks, the gold frame and landscape painting within it, all done in off-white and light pink. This is how it was when I arrived at this lovely large home in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. The owner removed the paint from the bricks himself and I begged him to let me marbleize the surrounding woodwork. His wife chose several landscape photos and paintings from the internet and I made a very creative blend of her favorite images. I then gold-leafed the frame around the painting and, last but not least, put several coats of acrylic varnish over the marbleized woodwork.

That is a wall mural above the fireplace, there was a moulding on the wall.
